The Daniel Cure

I went through this book just to see what all the 'hoopla' was about. I chose it from among several offered by Booksneeze for free in exchange for writing a blog of my opinion of it. They are in no way compensate me for writing in any way other than giving me the book to read.
I found a lot of sound advise and interesting information in here as well as some good recipes. I may be more inclined to follow the advise in this book if I lived in the country and could grow my own food, or if I lived in the city where I had a variety of food options, but living in a small mining town the Daniel cure just wasn't something I am able to do. We have one little grocery store (an IGA) and the selection and quality of vegetables is just not something that makes following this food plan doable.
I HAVE however started eating healthier and am more conscience of what I eat and how much I'm eating. I also did a three day fast a few weeks ago. (I know its not three weeks, but its better than nothing, right? lol.) It helped detox my system and I felt better for it.
If you are looking for a lifestyle change and have the means to fast and eat primarily vegetables, this book is a good starting point. If you want to learn about being healthier and want some good recipes to try, this book is also a good choice. If you want to remain unhealthy and live on junk food and be a couch potato, then skip buying this book. It will just be a waste of money. And if you are offended by the mention of God and spiritual things, don't buy this book. (As you should know from just the title.)
I enjoyed reading The Daniel Cure and I learn some stuff that will hopefully help me be healthier. I just wasn't able to fully follow the advice I found in it.
